Situated on the coast between Liverpool and Preston, the popular tourist resort of Southport is easily accessible from throughout the North West. Southport Beach is ideal for families, with plenty of room for car owners to park up and enjoy the panoramic views of the coastline, including the Southport Pier and seawall. This makes it a perfect setting for the air show.
Southport is easy to get to, whether you are travelling by road, rail, sea or air!
By car:
From the South, take the M6 to exit 26; the M58 will take you to Ormskirk and then take the A570 to Southport. From the North, follow the A59 from Preston (exit 31 from the M6) and then follow the signs to
Southport and the Southport Air Show.
Rail and coach services:
Regular services to Southport operate throughout the year. A fast and frequent rail service runs between Liverpool City Centre and Southport. Rail connections to Southport from Scotland, the North and the rest of the country are available via Manchester and Wigan stations. National Express coaches serve Southport from all major UK towns and cities. Signage from the town centre will take you to the event.
