Some of our Event Highlights
Southport and Marshside
A bustling town, with plenty to entertain including an amusement arcade and leisure centre this resort has a lot of offer. A beautifully landscaped promenade encompasses quaint gardens, which are home to a miniature railway and leading to the Marine Lake.
Whilst Southport has so many things to see and do, it is also home to a unique and amazing natural environment. The resort's beach is home to many thousands of wading birds returning from their northern breeding grounds at the end of summer, and the RSPB reserve at Marshside hosts one of the most impressive spectacles for birdwatching in the North West.
Southport Pier is a great place to watch birds as they rest and feed in preparation for the next stage of their epic journey. Southport is well signposted from the motorway network and benefits from a Park and Ride Scheme at the Eco Visitor Centre. The beach is a one mile walk from the railway station.
