Friday 18th May 2012 - Archaeologists identify beach find.
Archaeology volunteers made a "find" a few weeks ago. It has now been identified. Read more and the archaeologist's latest comments here.
Friday 18th May 2012 - Winter Lizards Spotted
Pupils at Shoreside Primary in Ainsdale had a surprise earlier this week when fifty Winter Lizards appeared overnight. Read more about the Winter Lizards here.
New Boardwalk gets started with a bang! Friday 18th May
The new boardwalk at Ainsdale started on site last weekend and attracted a lot of attention. Read what the local papers said here and here.
Friday 18th May 2012 - Released lizards spotted and doing well
A number of the lizards released last year have been spotted. Five were spotted recently and Lancashire Wildlife Trust who manage the project described this as really encouraging.
Monday 14th May 2012 - Archaeological dig starting soon!
We will be working with National Museums of Liverpool on a weeklong archaeological dig soon. This will take place at Formby on 20-27th June 2012. This should be a really interesting event and a great chance to have a go yourself. Detailed arrangements are being put in place now and more info will be added soon. Volunteers are required to help with a number of aspects of the event. A webpage and blog will be set up shortly.
Monday 14th May 2012 - events news
There was a full turn-out for Saturday's catch a shrimp event. Some amazing creatures were caught & put back! We'll be posting pictures on Facebook soon. The next event is the Ship Wreck walk this weekend - more details on our what's on page.
