To develop long term approaches for the management of landscape character, priority habitats and species, based on improved knowledge of the evolution of the landscape and natural features and of traditional management.

Freshfield Dune Heath – conserving and managing the dune heath on the coast characterised by the colourful yellow gorse and purple heather.
Dune & Scrub Management – conservation and management work of the Birkdale Sandhills.
Asparagus Trail – to raise awareness of the past culture of the Asparagus industry in Formby, providing a trail through the history.
Coastal Woodlands – review of the current woodland plan, to include raise awareness with public consultation and training.
Coastal Wetlands – improving the pools in the dunes for the Natterjack Toad
