Shopping in Southport

Are you looking for somewhere a little bit different to shop?

Do you prefer to leave the city behind and shop in a more relaxed way?

Are you looking to combine shopping with a leisurely trip to the coast?

An eclectic mix of independent shops, household brands & designer boutiques!

It's all here when it comes to retail therapy and Southport shopping!

You can wander down Lord Street, under the beautiful Victorian wrought iron canopies, strolling in and out of High Street shops such as Pandora, Next, Monsoon and designer shops such as Reputation and Jaeger.

Take a look around Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, a Grade ll listed building and home to over 30 independent stores, regular events and exhibitions and great places to grab a bite to eat.

Five minutes walk from the town centre is Central 12, a retail park with plenty of fashion favourites such as Outfit, Next, Bath Store, Boots and The Range.

Positioned next to Southport Train station, it is easily accessible and has a large car park with ample car parking for everyone.

A village in the Town

For more of an individual style of Southport shopping, Wesley Street is a ‘must visit’ shopping area.

Often described as the village in the town, it’s lined with pastel painted shops, has a mixture of independent traders including quirky gift shops, homeware, photographers gallery, book shops, baby shops and craft shops.

Shopping doesn’t have to be stressful

Lord Street has some beautiful gardens and chilled-out things to do where you can take time out and relax.

There is a balanced mix of shops, markets, restaurants, pubs and cafes along with a variety of events and festivals so you can make a day of Southport shopping, stopping for a coffee, ice cream, lunchtime meal or traditional fish and chips.

Why not visit Ocean Plaza if you are looking for a day of shopping, entertainment and attractions.

As well as a variety of favourite brands, there is also a cinema, bowling alley and a number of family restaurants.

Marine Way Bridge is a striking landmark in Southport, which crosses Marine Lake and connects Ocean Plaza to the Promenade, so it’s easy to take a stroll along Southport Beach or down Southport Pier.

Why not make a holiday or weekend of it with family or friends, search our special offers section for great deals on quality accommodation from our wide range of hotels, bed and breakfasts and self catering apartments, many of which are situated close to some of the best golf courses and threatres in the North West!

You can shop, dine and relax whilst enjoying a break by the coast.
