In 2007, Multi-award-winning Comedian, John Bishop gave up one full-time job and took up another one as a comedian. His first show as a professional stand up was so successful that, having proved that not only can he can make audiences laugh but can also feed the kids at the same time, he has decided to bring his eagerly awaited new show to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. All in the name of culture.

John Bishop has been performing stand-up since November 2000 and is currently one of the comedy circuits most popular headliners. He has appeared in Four At The Store and wrote and performed the critically acclaimed play, Happy Families (both for Radio 4). He has featured in numerous Television shows including the Comedy Store Series 4 and 6 (Paramount), Celebrity Poker (Challenge TV), Blame Game (BBC Ulster), Liffy Laffs (RTE Ireland), Soccer Night (Granada), How To Survive (BBC 3), That's Entertainment (Granada), My God I Am Turning Into My Dad (Bravo) and Brain Candy (BBC3). John has recently completed a highly successful UK tour of his previous show, Stick Your Job Up Your Arse.
He also hosts his own show, The Bishop's Sunday Service, on Radio City 96.7 in Liverpool and also has a regular blog on the Liverpool FC website.
