Fantastic Fungi

Dead molls' fingers, Chicken of the woods and Candlesnuff are all names given types of fungi that can be seen along the Sefton coast. The colourful and diversely shaped fruiting bodies distribute spores to reproduce; they are the more visible part of a much larger organism. To find out more book a place on our guided walk.
