Search for a Star

Last night's Northwest regional final of the national talent competition, Search for a Star, took place at Southport Arts Centre.

It was a difficult decision for the judges, as the talent on display was of exceptional quality.

First Place
Jodie Kate Hamblet
Jodie Kate is 18 years of age and comes from Lancashire. She is a singer but has also appeared on TV. At the final she performed songs by Amy Winehouse and Eva Cassidy in a polished and bubbly performance beating off competition from the twelve other finalists

Second place

Kortni Turner is just 16 years old, and makes the long trip down from Sheffield to perform at this years Search for a Star Final. Singing numbers by Barbara Streisand and the Three Degrees she performed with confidence and was well received by the audience.

Third Place

Nick Donnelly is from Churchtown. A tall chap with an even bigger voice! Nick wooed audiences with his performance and was a popular finalist.
