Southport Air Show Celebrated 90 years of the RAF in 2008
This year's Southport Air Show coincided with the 90th anniversary of the RAF, and to celebrate the increased flying activity included the RAF Role Demonstrations by top military aircraft, Tornado GR4, Tornado F3, Sentry aircraft and a Chinook which lead into a simulated fire power demonstration on the beach.
Southport Air Show was also proud to confirm that Eddie Forrester of Aerobytes Ltd backed the appearance of the Vulcan at the only remaining show venue in the North of England, giving thousands of people who would otherwise not have seen her this year the opportunity to do so.
Southport Air Show is recognised as the largest aviation show in the North West. This fantastic family event attracts up to 150,000 spectators over two days. The comprehensive flying programme includes the spectacular Red Arrows, military and civilian aircraft, Jets, helicopters, aerobatics and parachute displays.
