Quite simply - if it's style and sophistication you're after when shopping then look no further than Lord Street. With its world famous tree lined, mile-long boulevard, featuring everything from famous high street names to high quality speciality retailers, this really is shopping with a difference.

Nearby to Lord Street are plenty more opportunities for shopaholics - Chapel Street, Eastbank Street, Tulketh Street, Wesley Street and King Street. Southport is also widely known for its fabulous covered shopping malls including Wayfarers Arcade, Cambridge Walks, Cambridge Arcade and Marble Place.

Just 5 minutes from Lord Street on the seafront is Ocean Plaza - with its clever mix of retail and leisure, is a destination in its own right. Central 12 is also only 5 minutes walk from Southport Station and is quickly establishing its reputation as a popular choice amongst shoppers. There's also Meols Cop and Kew Retail Parks to pay a visit to.

If its the traditional market you're after then a trip to the bustling Market Hall in King Street featuring many fascinating and value-for-money stalls. There's also a Farmers Market held in the town on the last Thursday of every month.

In December many of the shops remain open later on Thursday evenings. Our Christmas International Street Market also comes to town in December and there'll be a wide selection of stalls along Lord St and Chapel Street, with some children's fairground rides in the Town Hall Gardens.
