Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa

Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa opened in 1996, is one of the newest courses on England's Golf Coast but has already built an enviable reputation, both for its welcome and the test of golf it provides. Following an extensive £10million development that has repositioned this former golf club to a complete residential golf resort destination ,from January 2008 we will be welcoming guests and members to a complete new golf experience. Our clubhouse and existing 18 hole Chapionship Course will be joined by a 62 bedroomed 4 star hotel, a superb 9 hole par 3 course, a new driving range and a unique new PGA Residential Academy together with a state - of -the - art lesiure club and spa destination.

The Old Course

The existing 18 hole The Old Course has been spectacularly transformed from marshland to a picturesque parkland course, six miles south of Southport the course measures 6,955 yards from the Championship tees and has already hosted two events on the Challenge Tour and another on the European Seniors'Tour. The club is also known for hosting high quality charity and pro-am events featuring some well-known celebrities.

The Old Course features a series of testing holes protected by water and well placed bunkers. Water, in fact can be found on 16 of the 18 holes, making the course an altogether differant experience.

All members, both men and women, enjoy equal rights on the course and in the clubhouse. And you needn't wait until you get there to place your order for refreshments at the end of your round, the clubhouse can be contacted by telephone from every hole!

Coming Soon - The Par 3 course

Due for completion early 2008, our brand new 9 hole par 3 course will challenge both the professional and amateur golfer. It includes four tee positions including Juniors , with large greens and strategically placed lakes and bunkers. Most interesting is the signature hole 6, with its testing island green.

Coming Soon - The UK's first PGA National Residential Golf Academy

The PGA want to create here the first national amateur golf academy which will include the 9-hole golf course, a two-tier floodlit driving range, an indoor, yet grass putting green , and willbe equipped with the very latest technolgy including radar ball tracking, and multi- angle digital video swing analysis, and will offer a private custom fit service.

Combining the new development with the warmth and friendliness that Formby Hall is recognised for, their aim is to be one of the best golf resort experiences on the Golf Coast .
