Southport Food & Drink Festival

Thousands of visitors headed over to Southport for Southport Food and Drink Festival.

The festival pavilion was a roaring success, with plenty of free food and drink being sampled by visitors to the event.

On Thursday 14th May Radio City 96.7 breakfast DJ went head-to-head with the Head Chef of the Ramada Plaza's Marine Brasserie, Adrian. In a 'Ready-Steady-Cook' style cooking competition, they were both given left over sausages and had to create and cook a dish to promote the 'Love Food Hate Waste' campaign. The audience voted for the best dish and Southport didn't fail to disappoint with Adrian taking the crowning glory - ramatch next year?

Main sponsors 'Love Food Hate Waste' had a successful weekend, launching their campaign on Thursday they showed visitors throughout the four days how they can save on average £50 per month by reducing food waste.
