Live on stage it's the music of Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, Barry White, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Sam and Dave, The O'Jays, George Benson, Earth Wind and Fire, The Four Tops & more.

Saturday at the Summer Classics will this year feature the Northern Chamber Orchestra Sinfonia, bringing an elegant style of entertainment to Victoria Park. Conductor Stephen Threlfall will lead the orchestra and soloist Richard Coxon will perform classical favorites including Jerusalem and Love Changes Everything.
This traditional outdoor proms style concert is a hugely popular annual event and with this year’s program it’s guaranteed to appeal to music lovers of all ages. Guests are invited to bring their picnics and to relax and enjoy the atmosphere in Victoria Park on a summers evening.
Back by popular demand after their debut at last years Summer Classics are Twin Frets performing popular classics prior to the main concert.
Victoria Park is a great venue so take this exciting opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and experience an exciting summer’s evening concert at this special event.

Ticket prices apply to both concerts. Advanced Group Rate (10 +) bookings taken prior to 1st June to be offered the Early Booking offer. Otherwise the group rate after 1st June will be buy 10 tickets and get one free at the advance rate. This is only available through our Group Sales Officer who can be contacted on julia@visitsouthpot.com. Advanced ticket rates will finish one week prior to the event

By train: Merseyrail operates fast and frequent services between Liverpool South Parkway (for Liverpool John Lennon Airport), Liverpool City Centre and Southport, for timetable information please visit: merseyrail.org Bikes can be taken free of charge on Merseyrail trains at any time.
Northern Rail operates regular services to Southport from Manchester Airport, Manchester (Piccadilly, Oxford Road and Victoria stations), Bolton and Wigan. Connecting services to / from the North East and Yorkshire are available at Manchester Piccadilly and from the North, Scotland and the south at Wigan.

By sea:
Daily sailings from Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man to Liverpool are available as are sailings from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead.
Road Directions
By car: From the south, take the M6 to exit 26, the M58 will take you to Ormskirk and then take the A570 to Southport. From the north, follow the A59 from Preston (exit 31 from the M6) and then
follow the signs to Southport.
For parking there is on-road pay and display spaces around Southport as well as a number of off-road car parks.
Situated on The Esplanade by Splash World, park up and get the bus into town.
Beach parking is also available subject to tide times.
