Aintree Racecourse
Less than half an hour’s drive from Southport and minutes from the motorway network is the world-famous Aintree Racecourse – home of the celebrated John Smith’s Grand National Steeplechase.
With only nine race meetings in its calendar, Aintree offers a magnificent selection of grandstands with conference and banqueting facilities available throughout the year. The Princess Royal and Queen Mother stands were joined in 2007 by two new purpose built grandstands, the Lord Sefton and the Earl of Derby, along with the 4000sqm Aintree International Equestrian Centre, as part of a £35 million investment.
With a choice of no fewer than 14 conference and exhibition suites and up to 43 adaptable boxes across four grandstands, Aintree can accommodate all manner of events.
The same team who co-ordinate the award winning Grand National Festival are available all year round to assist with every aspect of organising your event. Aintree Racecourse also benefits from a partnership with a local AV company where personnel are trained to a high standard in all areas including sound, lighting and production. WiFi is available throughout together with an integrated PA system, and there is free parking for up to 1,000 cars.
