Victoria Park came alive with the fabulous sounds of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra with guest star Natasha Marsh on Saturday 26th July and rocked along to M-People and Liverpool favourites, The Christians on Friday night at Southport Summer Classics - Music in the Park!
Conductor Vasily Petrenko led the audience through a great selection of popular classical music.
There is nothing to compare to ......... Southport Summer Classics - Music in the Park.
Before the main concert there was a special performance of 'ITOKU', an original performance of this Sefton Schools Opera project, which has been composed by Lin Marsh and will involve around 400 young people from across Sefton.
The opera told the story of the villagers of Itoku and their journey into slavery from Benin to Liverpool, which is a mixture of music, dance and drama.
Victoria Park once again lent its unique surroundings to this fabulous annual picnic style event with unique ambience and fireworks.
