Parks & Gardens


Southport is home to a number of beautiful parks and gardens and for this reason the town is often referred to as the floral capital of the North West.

Botanic Gardens set in Churchtown is a classic Victorian park, rich in beauty and history. It has its own museum, café, gift shop and aviary too.

Back in the town centre is Victoria Park, home to the Southport Flower Show. With acres of lawn and a network of pathways, it’s ideal for ball games or simply relaxing with a picnic.

Southport’s largest park Hesketh Park is a must visit. Experience stunning greenery and a beautiful lake where you can feed the ducks. It’s also home to an observatory and one of the UK’s oldest floral clocks.

Lord Street Gardens provide the perfect spot for relaxation along Southport’s popular shopping boulevard. Beautifully landscaped and with plenty of seating, the gardens offer a tranquil spot to enjoy town centre’s elegance.
