Booking Private Events

Sefton MBC maintains and operates many public open spaces throughout the Borough. The general public has a right of access to these areas, free of charge, on a casual basis during programmed opening hours, which normally fall from 8.00 am to one hour before dusk (sunset) each day.

In circumstances where an organised group of people wish to use such facilities and that this use may affect the normal running of the park, or restrict public access, such a group or organisation needs to seek the permission of Sefton MBC to stage the event.

An application must be completed and returned, then an assessment of whether or not the event can proceed will be made in conjunction with other relevant correspondence provided by the organisers, other departments or authoritative bodies such as the Police, Fire or Ambulance Services.

• Victoria Park (south area), Southport
• Kings Gardens, Southport
• Pier Forecourt, Southport
• Town Hall Gardens, Southport
• Bandstand Gardens, Southport
