What's On

Southport has one the most diverse events programmes in the North West, starting of the season in April with the biggest steeple chase in the world, John Smiths Grand National at Aintree Racecourse.

May starts with the Southport Jazz Festival, a range of music styles and a some free concerts to suit all music lovers and the entire family.

Taste the delights of June with the Southport Food and Drink Festival, a true celebration of food and drink from Southport and the surrounding area.

August is a month full of family fun and entertainment with the Woodvale Rally and the world famous Southport Flower Show.

September welcomes the return of the famous Southport Air Show, a weekend of all things 'aviation' not only for the enthusiast but the entire family - with plenty of entertainment at the Air Show village. The sky bursts to light later in the month too as the British Musical Firework Championships returns for another three night competition.

And what better way to welcome the winter season with the Christmas Lights Switch On and Grand Parade in November and the Christmas Festival in December.
