As the season rapidly approaches, there are plenty of unmissable events, activities and things to do with your family meaning it’s the perfect time to make memories…

Morning

Check into your hotel, get yourselves unpacked before heading off out to explore all that Southport has to offer.

Grab some breakfast at one of our many family friendly eateries dotted around as you’re going to need it before your day of exploring, you’ll really be spoilt for choice with our endless breakfast and brunch spots.

If you’re going to have a fun filled day you’re going to ensure you have a yummy breakfast to keep your energy levels high so pop over to Lord Street for your foodie morning cuisine.

You’re going to want a walk between your breakfast and Splash World, as swimming on a full or empty stomach is not very good so go and stretch your legs on our pier or promenade and try your luck with the traditional penny arcade on your way.

Lunch

Wrap up in your warm clothes and head down to the Formby Red Squirrel Reserve, with stretches of trees taller than their eyes can see. Navigate the winding woodland paths and watch the Red Squirrels scurry through the golden yellow and burnt orange hued trees and kick up the fallen leaves as you venture through.

Or start the fun off the right way at Southport’s splashtastic indoor all-weather water park. Let the kids whizz down the slides and discover the fantastic range of flumes and river rides whilst the adults watch from a close distance in a relaxing bubble spa or the all new toddler pool. Have a brilliant action-packed day out for all of the family! Perfect place to visit whatever the weather.

Alternatively, head over to Model Railway Village for your little ones to have all day fun with six LGB trains running on 500 metres of track. This spectacular Model Village consists of beautiful vistas and fabulous panoramic views of the miniature landscape and Model Trains. And it is completely contained so you can relax whilst the kids enjoy themselves.

Take a trip down to Lord Street and head to The Atkinson known as a cultural pick ‘n’ mix. You can take a look back on Sefton's history, or go and see the egyptology display that dates back 10,000 years.

Evening

Enjoy an alfresco dinner on Lord Street, independent restaurants serve up tasty dishes with the finest local ingredients. Southport is just bursting with independent eateries that serve up scrummy food made with the finest and locally sourced ingredients - from Italian to Thai there is plenty of choice for even the fussiest of the family.

Grab your little one, jump and swing down The Promenade before strolling back and unwinding in your room with a movie and a midnight snack.

If you happen to visit over half term you can get into the Halloween spirit with Southport's annual Halloween Festival. Packed with brilliantly spooky family events and all manner of goings on across Southport town centre there will be something to spook the whole family.

It’s time to wind down and relax after an eventful, fun filled day with your family. As you’ve had such a hectic day, head on down to Ocean Plaza where you can have fun ten pin bowling or watch the latest film at the Vue cinema.
