The 7th annual Southport Comedy Festival starts this Thursday and runs for a whopping 18 days, our longest festival yet.

This year’s star studded line-up sees the return of some festival favourites with brand new shows from Paul Sinha (The Sinnerman from ITV’s The Chase), Jo Caulfield and playing for two nights this year, Irish funny man, Jason Byrne. Jason now known as the “King of the Festival” makes his 4th return visit to the Festival. Other big TV names appearing are Jason Manford a long-time friend of the festival, Rich Hall, Gary Delaney, Ivan Brackenbury, and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist, Daliso Chaponda.

The Festival offers something for everyone. As well as classic stand-up, there are our unique Comedy Pub Crawls, squeaky clean shows, shows in restaurants , marquees, comedy workshops, comedy bingo, family shows and children’s events. Not forgetting the annual search for the next big comedy star with The Nando’s New Comedian of the Year heats and final.
