The Southport Food and Drink Festival is here again, and after 12 years it is more popular than ever! Whether you are with the family, friends, with your hen party or are the stag, we have made sure there is plenty for you to enjoy.

To make it easier we have put together a top 10 guide of things to do when you are at the festival this year!

Take a look around our first ever craft marquee
When you come into the park you will see a huge craft marquee where for the first time ever you can browse a selection of crafts. Personalised bags, mini deck chairs…to name a few.

Do your food shop right here!
Make sure you bring a shopping bag because our local producers have plenty you can take home. Fresh fruit and veg boxes, meats, herbs and spices, cheese, olives…the list is endless so make sure the bag is HUGE!

Have breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Yes that's right, there are so many street food vendors that you can literally eat all day. Bring your loose fitting clothes because we guarantee you will be stuffed! Start the day with a bacon butty from a farm that hand rears the pigs, then spend the day nibbling on Persian food, American food, Thai food…you name it, we have it!

Enjoy the entertainment
Throughout the festival our entertainment marquee, hosted by our very own Simon Smithies (fondly known as the British Musical Fireworks Championship ‘voice’), local musicians will be playing throughout the day bringing an amazing atmosphere to the event.

Let the kids make slime!
With it being #halfterm we know how you parents are feeling – do not worry we have plenty to keep the little ones entertained. Face painting, sand art, crafts, magic shows and our very own slime lab where you can make slime! Happy kids, happy mum and dad right?

Then let them burn their energy!
We have inflatables, water walkers, slides….let them play and come back smiling and exhausted!

Taste something a little different!
New to the festival this year we have the Raclette Brothers – what is this you wonder? Wait for it…no seriously this is to die for! This Alpine street food will have you coming back for more. Veggies, meats and potatoes then melted cheese shaved over top!

Watch some cocktail flaring
The annual flaring competition is again being held at the Southport Food and Drink Festival, 12.30 on Saturday 2nd June. Grab a drink and enjoy a few hours of cocktail flaring at its finest…plus it is a competition so the standards are high! Great fun all around!

Enjoy the music
All weekend, local DJs from Dead Good will be entertaining you. The set list is endless and the atmosphere next to Flair n Funk is brilliant. Hen party, stag or with friends? Head to that corner for a great part atmosphere until 18:00.

New last year was the cocktail bar with the seating upstairs. Grab your drink and watch the event from above, great view, and great cocktail and hopefully sunshine!

Whichever day you come make sure you leave the car at home. Take the train, or there are plenty of bus routes into Southport. Victoria Park is only a short walk away from the town centre.

We have wine, fizz, coconut cocktails, local beer and more…but drink responsibly and wear sun cream! That is if you have booked the sunshine!
