What’s On this Christmas
We love Christmas and we love being able to do things with our friends and family this year! We’ve got loads planned to keep us entertained over the holidays.
There’s a spectacular Winter Light Trail coming to Victoria Park. It will weave a 1.2km long route across the beautiful park from 25th November – 23rd December. Once you have experienced the beautiful trail, pop to the hub for a mulled wine and some tasty festive treats.
Want to celebrate Santa's Best Christmas Ever? The most Christmassy Christmas show will be a festive musical and interactive adventure where each child gets a present!
Visit Santa’s Grotto or the special Frozen Grotto experience, both at the Wayfarers Arcade. Our happy Santas and their helpers will be waiting for you to pop in and say hello, ho ho ho! Throughout December, the Southport Market will have Santa and his elves, children can bring along their letters to post. Whislt here you can watch a festive film too! We love seeing Santa in Southport again.
The Trail of Trees illuminated across Southport, where we can capture those perfect festive insta-worthy selfies, or the first ever festive sensory experience, the Digital Winter Wonderland on Chapel Street.
Seasonal entertainment for all the family would not be the same with out a panto! Christmas Cinderella, Robin Hood, and The Snow Queen…’Oh no we can’t…oh yes, we can!
For music lovers, there’s shows like the David Bowie experience, Totally Tina or even On Tour with Elvis.
Can you spot a Gingerbread around town? The Gingerbread Family Trail from 27th November – 3rd January will have ten gingerbreads - spot and name them all to win a prize!
We can decide to make a weekend of it and wake up in Southport this Christmas. We can stay in a boutique hotel, sip on some mulled wine, and spend the weekend celebrating all things festive in one of our favourite towns. We can put our party shoes on again.
We can fall in Love with Southport all over again this Christmas. #LoveSouthport
The reopening of Southport's High Street safely is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the UK Government.
