Family Time this Summer

There’s no shortage of family activities during a stay in Southport, you’ll always find something happening that will create days to remember.

Morning

Check into your hotel, get yourselves unpacked before heading off out to explore all that Southport has to offer.

Take a stroll over  to the outdoor Model Railway Village and be enthralled by the picturesque miniature landscapes, gardens and trains - the kids will just love it!

Grab your bucket and spade, before continuing on to Southport beach, dig your feet into the sand; wade in the calm water and enjoy the coast.

Why not explore the sand dunes of nearby Ainsdale - the kids will love spotting all the wildlife and insects amongst the dunes!


Lunch

Hop skip and jump down to Pleasureland - take on the thrills of the rollercoaster and laugh together getting drenched on the log flume.

Give the Pier penny arcade a go and pit your wits against one of the many slot machines, it will give the kids hours of enjoyment.

After working up an appetite, pause for a brief stopover for a family picnic lunch or at one of the many well-known, family-friendly restaurants in the town.

Relax or have fun in King’s Gardens, with a play area, crazy golf and some brilliant events, it’s one place you can’t miss.  Grab a little pick me up for yourselves with an afternoon cream tea in  their tea room.


Evening

Enjoy an alfresco dinner on Lord Street, independent restaurants serve up tasty dishes with the finest local ingredients.

Or for a real Southport experience -  traditional fish and chips on the beach!

Head down to the Promenade where the biggest amusement arcade Funland is - the bright lights and a traditional carousel will attract those little eyes!

Wind down for the evening with a blissful walk along the Promenade to unwind, before strolling back and collapsing in your room - exhausted from a full day of activity!
