1. Southport Pier
By far one of the most instragrammable – a quick search on Instagram shows our Pier popping up a lot! The oldest iron pier in the UK has been standing for over 150 years. Talk a walk down to the end, all 1000 metres of it, and you will have the most breath-taking views of the North West coastline.
2. Marine Lake
Whether it is swans, bright blue water, Venetian bridge or just sunshine glistening off the water on a gorgeous day. Seeing pictures of Marine Lake makes us excited for the warmer weather and fun days out!
3. Southport Pleasureland
The place where memories are made! Southport Pleasureland brings fun to Southport and with so many rides and so much colour we are certain there are more than a few instagrammable spots!
4. Southport Beach
We are a big fan of our beach and it seems you are too! Not to be mistaken with the beach in Queensland – there are still plenty of beautiful pictures of our beach all year round!
5. Red Rum Mural
Artist Paul Curtis was commissioned to paint the mural as part of the 2020 Borough of Culture. It stands proudly on the Promenade and is a reminder of Southport's heritage. Red Rum used to train on Southport beach and became a Grand National legend!
6. Victorian Shelters
Sat alongside Marine Lake, the Victorian Shelters were restored to their former glory in 2012. They regularly pop up on instagram...
7. Botanic Gardens
Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter - Botanic Gardens is just simply breath-taking...
8. Marine Way Bridge
Marine Way Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge which opened to the public in 2004. It is the backdrop for many images in Southport.
9. Southport War Memorial
The war memorial consists of an obelisk flanked by two colonnades in the form of Greek temples, you can get some amazing views of Lord Street looking through.

Alfresco dining has never been more important and seeing Lord Street alive again with trees blooming and businesses thriving makes us smile...

Not strictly Southport but part of our wonderful coast....we are incredibly lucky to have this on our doorstep and right next to an amazing beach!

This shopping arcade is a beautiful Grade II listed building which has been on Lord Street since 1898. The glass roof with decorative iron work and Victorian fronted shops makes this arcade picture perfect!
