As the UK opens up slowly, we can begin to explore again. Feel the sand beneath our feet, enjoy sipping on a cocktail, dinner with a friend and taking that ever important selfie! We have some of the most beautiful attractions and gardens perfect for your instagram stories!

1. Southport Pier

By far one of the most instragrammable – a quick search on Instagram shows our Pier popping up a lot! The oldest iron pier in the UK has been standing for over 150 years. Talk a walk down to the end, all 1000 metres of it, and you will have the most breath-taking views of the North West coastline.

2. Marine Lake

Whether it is swans, bright blue water, Venetian bridge or just sunshine glistening off the water on a gorgeous day. Seeing pictures of Marine Lake makes us excited for the warmer weather and fun days out!

3. Southport Pleasureland

The place where memories are made! Southport Pleasureland brings fun to Southport and with so many rides and so much colour we are certain there are more than a few instagrammable spots!

4. Southport Beach

We are a big fan of our beach and it seems you are too! Not to be mistaken with the beach in Queensland – there are still plenty of beautiful pictures of our beach all year round!

5. Red Rum Mural

Artist Paul Curtis was commissioned to paint the mural as part of the 2020 Borough of Culture. It stands proudly on the Promenade and is a reminder of Southport's heritage. Red Rum used to train on Southport beach and became a Grand National legend!
