And if that leaves you craving for more you can visit the Southport Festival in May - brand new for 2016, the Southport Festival has a mix of Jazz, Folk, literature, poetry, visual arts and comedy. Something to suit all tastes!
In March the ultimate fashion event will bring national and international clothes brands to the catwalk, along with entertainment, music and a chance to buy the latest styles - all at The Southport Fashion Show.
And there are always different shows and productions at one of our three local theatres so there is always something to entertain you no matter what time of year you visit.
An explosion of taste in May
The annual Southport Food & Drink Festival is a true celebration of local and regional food.
This free event includes food and drink to enjoy on the day as well as culinary delights to take home.
And if flowers and agriculture are one of your interests, then you can enjoy a whole four days at the Southport Flower Show, you may even see a famous face or two!

Eyes to the skies in September for two days full of historic aircraft, fast jets, beach explosions and some of the best aerobatic displays you will ever see.
The sky bursts into light when the British Musical Fireworks Championship returns to Victoria Park in October.
This is no ordinary fireworks event; over three nights some of the UK's top pyrotechnic companies will battle it out to be crowned British Champion and believe us, these are seven displays that you won’t want to miss!
The Sporting Life
If sport is more your thing, the world famous Crabbies Grand National is run at nearby Aintree Racecourse.
