With fringe events in many restaurants and bars across the town and free concerts each day you can enjoy, all that jazz!

In March the ultimate fashion event will bring national and international clothes brands to the catwalk, along with entertainment, music and a chance to buy the latest styles - all at The Southport Fashion Show.

And there is always different shows and productions at any one time in the local theatres so there is something for you to do.

An explosion of taste in May

The annual Southport Food & Drink Festival is a true celebration of local and regional food.

This free event includes food and drink to enjoy on the day as well as culinary delights to take home.

And if flowers and agriculture are your interests then you can enjoy a whole four days at the Southport Flower Show, you may even see a famous face or two!

With vintage cars, motorbike stunts, auto-salvage stalls and much more it’s a great day for the whole family, not just ‘lads and dads’.

Eyes to the skies in September for two days full of historic aircraft, fast jets, beach explosions and some of the best aerobatic displays you will ever see.

Don’t miss the Southport Air Show, it’s a great day out for everyone and comes highly recommended - a viewpoint from the pier is even better!

The sky bursts into light when the British Musical Fireworks Championship returns to Victoria Park in October.

This is no ordinary fireworks event; over three nights some of the top pyrotechnic companies will battle it out to be crowned British Champion and believe us, these are seven displays that you won’t want to miss! 

The Sporting Life

If sport is more your thing, the world famous Crabbies Grand National is run at nearby Aintree Racecourse.

A little more laid back is the County Cricket Champions match in May at Southport and Birkdale Cricket Club.

Southport will be host to the four day match against Derbyshire.

If golf is your thing then there is always different golf events taking place at the many excellent golf clubs close-by.

And for the runners amongst us, Southport is growing each year as a hot spot for races with events ranging from 5ks to half marathons throughout the year.  

October to December, there is still plenty for you to do.

It is recommended to stay up to date with whats on in Southport, even when the summer season is over.

The kids will have a ‘Spook-tastic’ time when Southport turns into ‘Spookport’ for a week over Halloween.

The town will get into the ‘spirit’ of things with a spooky parade and both grown-ups and the little ones can dress up and get involved in the creepy goings on!

The Southport Comedy Festival in October is 10 days of laughs and some of the best local and national comedians.

Activities include kid’s cartoon sessions and stand up workshops in venues across Southport.

As we head toward the end of the year, Christmas markets will line the streets of Southport.

You can sip mulled wine or hot chocolate, browse around the stalls picking up gifts along the way.
