Do you have kids and are looking for things to do to keep them busy?
We can help you create holiday memories that will stay with them forever.
A trip to the seaside is something that all kids love. Building sandcastles, paddling in the water, donkey rides and more can be enjoyed at Southport beach.
And the seaside wouldn't be complete without the traditional rides and activities such as Victorian 'Gallopers' carousel, arcade games and mini games that can be enjoyed in Silcocks Funland, at the entrance to the pier.
If you are on a budget there are still plenty of things you can do.
The brand new King's Gardens have a fantastic new play area for the kids. This is great for all ages and you can spend hours watching them enjoy themselves.
There is a toddler area for the little ones, a challenging climbing area for the older kids and a sandpit where you often find families all having a play. It almost makes you want to drop everything, jump in and be a kid again!
A short walk away is the only outdoor Model Railway Village in the UK. Children are enthralled with the picturesque miniature landscape, gardens and train tracks and can spend the day walking around with the trains and you can relax knowing they are in a secure environment.
A bike ride along the promenade with the family, turning your little ones into explorers in our parks and gardens, take them to see prehistoric footprints at Formby, or head to the pinewoods and see if you can spot one of the endangered Red Squirrels - the entertainment can last all day long!
Are you the more adventurous type? Do the kids look for thrilling things to do?
They will love the fast flumes in Splashworld, standing under the tipping buckets, running through the fountains. And all the while you can relax in the bubble spa - Splashworld is a constant 84 degrees Farenheit so entertainment whatever the weather!
Or how about the dips and tummy flips of the fairground at Southport Pleasureland? This is fun for all ages and is free to enter so you only pay for the rides you go on, which means you can keep control of the cost.
And if you want to wind down, you can feel wind in your hair and sand under your feet, without being too far away from the countryside.
The coast of Sefton stretches for 22 miles, from Southport beach to Crosby beach, home of the Gormley statues - 'Another Place', you can enjoy long leisurely relaxing walks. And if you have brought the family dog, there is plenty of space to give them a run out.
Sefton's coast is a great place to explore in many ways, for all ages. Either cycling or walking there are many routes where you can enjoy the one of the many species of wildlife.
They have major exhibitions throughout the year, plus fine art, ceramics, prints and drawings in the gallery.
Pop over to the Waterfronts Art Centre where you can view exhibitions from local artists and photographers.
Or for something a little quirky, the British Lawnmower Museum is a unique experience and the only one of its kind in the world!
And when the day draws to an end you can drink in the beautiful scenic views, whilst taking the take the mile long walk down the oldest iron pier in the country stretched across Southport beach?
If that walk seems like a little too much effort (after all you are on holiday!) then hop onto the pier tram which takes you right to the end where you can sit and enjoy a coffee!
