Get ready to kick off the festive season in style as the Southport Christmas Spectacular returns to the town centre on Saturday 14 November 2026.
Taking place between 11am and 4pm, this popular free event hosted by Southport BID will fill Lord Street with festive cheer, live entertainment and family fun, bringing together thousands of visitors for a magical day in the heart of Southport.
A Day Packed with Christmas Magic
The Southport Christmas Spectacular promises something for all ages, with a packed programme of festive entertainment centred around the Lord Street Bandstand and the area outside The Vincent Hotel.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy a fantastic stage show featuring a mix of live performances, character appearances and local talent. Expect popular children's favourites including the Toy Story Show, Superhero Show, Miss Rachel, Princess Pop Show and the exciting K-Pop vs Saja Show.
The event will also showcase performances from talented local dance schools and community groups, alongside festive music from Connected Voices Choir and Marshside Brass Band.
Hosted by Kelly Bond and Alex Toal, the entertainment runs throughout the day from 11am until 4pm.
Meet Your Favourite Characters
One of last year's biggest attractions was the Character Zones, and 2026 promises even more opportunities for memorable family photographs.
Visitors will have the chance to meet Paddington™ and Buzz Lightyear™, who will be appearing at intervals throughout the day for special photo opportunities.
Whether you're a lifelong Paddington fan or have a budding space ranger in the family, don't forget your camera.
Festive Fun for the Whole Family
Beyond the main stage, there will be plenty of festive activities taking place throughout the town centre.
Children can:
- Step inside a giant festive snow globe for the perfect Christmas photo
- Enjoy rides on a traditional carousel
- Get creative with festive face painting
- Take part in Christmas crafts
- Post their Christmas wishes when Santa arrives on his sleigh
Santa will be making a special appearance during the day, so young visitors are encouraged to bring their letters along ready for delivery to the North Pole.
Paddington-Themed Wellbeing Workshop
Inside The Vincent Hotel, families can enjoy a special Paddington-themed Kids Christmas Wellbeing Workshop, offering children a fun and relaxing festive experience.
Spaces are limited and advance booking is required.
