Shopping Areas in Southport

Time for somewhere different

When you visit Southport you can be sure to have a different experience every time you come with the different shopping areas to browse.

You will find plenty of independent locals, boutique shops and large High Street stores. Not to mention to amount of places to stop for a break when the thirst and hunger calls.

The jewel in the crown on Southport

Stroll down the iconic Lord Street, with a mixture of High Street names and independent retailers.

There is an abundance of restaurants and a great al fresco café culture you can easy spend the day strolling in and out of the shops and stopping for a rest, even on a beautiful winters day!

Located on Lord Street is the iconic Victorian Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, a mixture of independent shops, cafes and department stores in the stunning Grade ll listed building. You can shop, eat and relax under one roof.

Chapel Street runs parallel to Lord Street and is the location for High Street retailers and Southport Train Station.

A quaint village feel in the heart of the town

Just off Chapel Street is Wesley Street, the village in the town that should be on your list as a place to visit. Quaint little shops colourfully decorated and a street that is usually yarn bombed makes this a little explosion of colour.

Southport Market is another great place to seek out something different or local. If you are staying self-catering you can pick up local produce to cook where you are staying.

Or stop off for a coffee. Southport Market extends each Tuesday and Wednesday to Chapel Street with their outdoor market.

Ocean Plaza is a great place to shop, eat and have fun. Large stores, restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley make this a one stop shop by the seaside.

And not to forget the villages beyond Southport which give a local feel to visitors and often have great little shops to mooch around.

There are plenty of places to mooch looking for that special gift or souvenir. You can make it different each time you visit.
