The iconic Red Arrows will once again thunder through the skies of Sefton for the 2023 Southport Air Show.
Sefton Council is delighted to confirm the Red Arrows, Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and more will be on display at the Southport Air Show, which takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September.
The Red Arrows will be displaying on Saturday 9th September at 12:00.
Thousands of aviation lovers and visitors are expected to descend on the resort and tickets are already being snapped up ahead of the weekend.
The astounding Red Arrows, who will appear on Saturday 9th, will not be the only ones drawing in the crowds, with the teeth-rattling RAF Typhoon and inspirational Battle of Britain Memorial Flight also making a much-welcomed return to Southport’s golden coastline.
Cllr Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council’s Labour Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills, said:
“I would encourage everyone to snap up their tickets as soon as possible because this weekend will sell out fast!
“People from all over the UK and Europe make the trip to Southport Air Show each year, such is its illustrious place in the aviation world and we can’t wait to welcome huge crowds to the shoreline.
“Bring a picnic and sit on the beach, or park on the beach if you arrive early enough.
“There are plenty of ground attractions that will keep the kids entertained all weekend and fantastic bars and restaurants to enjoy once the flying programme ends each day.”
