Pubs & Bars in Southport

Southport nightlife has been reinvigorated with new bars and cafes opening up. With the popular trend of gin and whiskey there are plenty of bars to quench the thirst for a cocktail or two.

Remedy on Lord Street is a hot spot for gin and coffee bars. It's a great place for relaxing, meeting and socialising with friends.

They sell over 40 carefully selected gins and match them perfectly to the different botanics and tonics. Throughout the day they have a lunch menu and a good range of malt whiskeys and bourbons. It's easy to idle away an afternoon without realising!

The newly refurbished Bold Hotel at the opposite end of Lord Street offers a brilliant carvery seven days a week in stunning surroundings. Plus you can even book in for the night in their luxury, boutique hotel!

Peaky Blinders, also on Lord Street, is a must visit to experience the 1920s period TV series. The panoramic windows onto Lord Street mean you can watch the world go by and being a dog friendly venue, you can take all members of the family! By order of the Peaky Blinders you are invited to step inside and taste one of the  draft ales!

Traditional pubs selling pub food, real ale and a Southport tipple are all over the town. Try The Guest House on Union Street Street which serves more than ten real ales and lunchtime light bites.

If it is an Irish vibe you are going for, try Punch Tarmey's at the end of Lord Street - for a real authentic feel they shipped all of their fixtues and fittings from Ireland.

And it doesn't end there! Up and down Lord Street, and all of the streets in between, you can meander through bars, pubs and restaurants, sampling what's on offer and enjoying the Southport nightlife.

Southport has also been awarded the Purple Flag which shows that at night Southport is a clean and safe environment with great bars and clubs, a variety of arts and cultural attractions, and excellent transport links - with the Puple Flag accreditation you can be sure your night out in Southport is enjoyable and safe!
