About
There's something for everyone all year round at this delightful coastal reserve.
In the spring you can see brown hares boxing in the fields, while in the early summer you'll spot nesting birds like avocets and lapwings. During the winter months, the skies fill with visiting waterfowl such as pink-footed geese and wigeons, not to mention birds of prey that can set flocks wheeling over the marshes.
We have two hides, a viewing platform and three viewing screens. If you are new to birdwatching visit our welcome volunteers in Sandgrounders’ hide or visit our website to find out about our events and guided walks.
Information for dog owners: Dogs on leads welcome on reserve trails. Please do not take dogs into the hides - please contact the reserve for more details
The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. We rely upon memberships and donations to fund our work. Nature is amazing - help us keep it that way.
