Cristal Palace Friday 3 - Saturday 4 April
Cristal Palace is a spectacular, free outdoor performance created by internationally acclaimed French theatre company Transe Express, set to transform Town Hall Gardens into a glistening open‑air ballroom this Easter weekend.
Taking place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April 2026, from 7.30pm to 9pm, Cristal Palace will invite families, friends and visitors of all ages to step into a world of music, movement and magic as 150 years of dance unfolds beneath a breathtaking 12‑metre‑wide chandelier stage.
This extraordinary 90‑minute show blends live music, aerial performance and visual theatre, creating a dramatic, immersive experience unlike anything Southport has hosted before. Access to the outdoor ballroom will open from 18:00, with the performance running from 19:30 to 21:00. Audiences should enter the ballroom via entrances on Lord Street.
Alongside the internationally renowned Transe Express ensemble, more than 30 performers from Southport and the Liverpool City Region - including 20 young dancers from local dance schools - will take to the stage in a specially created section choreographed by Liverpool-based chorographer, Grace Goulding.
