Cristal Palace

Cristal Palace is a breathtaking 90 minute outdoor, night-time spectacular that will transform the Town Hall Gardens into a grand ballroom under a monumental chandelier for two nights in April.

Friday 3 - Saturday 4 April.

Access to the outdoor ballroom at Town Hall Gardens will open from 18:00, with the performance running from 19:30 to 21:00.

Cristal Palace will take place in the Town Hall Gardens and adjacent Lord Street, which will be closed to allow for viewing. 

Audiences should enter the ballroom via entrances on Lord Street.

Please note, Cristal Palace is held in a public space so there may be restricted viewing from some areas due to street infrastructure and architecture - however the spectacular chandelier will be in view at all times!

No booking or tickets are required. 

There will be an Accessible Viewing Area available during Cristal Palace which does require tickets for access. Please note this space is limited and will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis. You can book tickets here.

Travel:

We encourage the use of public transport to ensure a smooth journey and to be more sustainable.

You have the option to travel by bus or train into Southport town centre, with Southport train station only a 5 minute walk to Cristal Palace & plenty of bus routes available.

Event Access:

Access to the outdoor ballroom at Town Hall Gardens will open from 18:00, with the performance running from 19:30 to 21:00.

Road closures will be in place around the Lord Street area from 16:00 on both performance days. Visitors are advised to plan their journey in advance to avoid delays.

As the event takes place outdoors, we recommend wearing warm, weather‑appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear.

Please note large umbrellas are not permitted, as they can restrict the view for other audience members.

Chairs are not allowed within the event space.

You’re welcome to bring your own refreshments, but please take any litter home with you.

Toilets will be positioned along Lord Street to the North & South of the viewing areas.

There will also be accessible toilets located in the accessible viewing area.

No animals other than assistance dogs are allowed.

Yes, there will be road closures around the Lord Street area from 16.00 on performance days, so please plan your journey carefully - more information on road closures will be released soon.
